Health & Dental Care for Kids

Health and Dental Care For Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing primary, dental, and urgent care

for patients from 0 to 18 years of age. The organization is co-sponsored by St. Louis Children’s Hospital and

Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.

Health and Dental Care for Kids was established in St. Louis in 1992. Our policy is to never turn away a patient

regardless of his/her ability to pay. We accept all Missouri and Illinois Medicaid plans, as well as most forms of

commercial insurance. For those patients without medical insurance we offer a deeply discounted fee schedule

that allows families to pay a modest amount to cover medical services. We receive referrals from OB/GYN’s,

other Pediatricians and Primary Care Physicians, as well as from the Emergency Departments of St. Louis

Children’s Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center and urgent care facilities. Other patients are

self-referred.

Our board certified pediatricians provide medical services including: physicals and immunizations; newborn care;

well baby and toddler checks; sick visit care; asthma treatment; diagnostic screenings (e.g., lead, pregnancy and

STDs); referrals for specialty care; and post-inpatient hospital care. We also provide mental health/behavioral

assessment and counseling; assistance in obtaining Medicaid benefits; and referrals for social and emergency

services such as food, housing and transportation.

Our group dental practice allows HDCFK to provide a great range of restorative care. Coordinated care is best

provided in an environment where generalists and specialists have an ability to interact with each other. Our

group has brought together doctors with expertise in different areas. This philosophy has allowed HDCFK to

incorporate the latest dental technologies, sterilization procedures, and to utilize an in-house laboratory facility.

From the moment a patient comes into our office they will immediately recognize that this is no ordinary dental

 practice.

To effectively serve our diverse population we contract with a language translation service that allows us

to translate any language in the world. In addition, several of our staff members speak Spanish, French,

Vietnamese, Russian, Farsi (Persian), Dari (a language spoken in Afghanistan), and Malayalam (a language

spoken in Southern India). Further, sign language and Deaf Interlink Services are also available to patients.

Health Care for Kids is centrally located in midtown St. Louis at 4055 Lindell Blvd (Northeast corner of Lindell

and Sarah). The Center is easily accessible to low income residents of the St. Louis region by public transit

or automobile.
